The relegation finale
has arrived, with Fulham going to
Fratton Park looking for a vital win
that will keep them up and give their
fans another year of Premiership
football. The Cottagers really have
given themselves a fighting chance,
mainly due to some unbelievable results
which has seen them win three out of
their last four games.
They come into this game
after winning a monumental relegation
battle last week, 2-0 over Birmingham,
and I really have to take my hat off to
Roy Hodgson, he really is going through
the ups and downs of Premiership
management!
What will be pleasing to
the manager and the fans is that Fulham
do look like they really want to stay in
the division, coming back from 2-0 down
to win 3-2 at Man City, and that result
may well turn out to be the turning
point in their fortunes.
What's for sure, they
face a Portsmouth side with nothing to
play for in the Premiership, and one eye
on an FA Cup final at Wembley.
.
After
a superb season, we cant really grumble that
Harry Redknapp's Pompey side are taking
their foot off the gas and keeping
themselves for the Cup Final against
Cardiff. Pompey have lost three games on the
bounce, scoring only one goal and conceding
six, and I'm sure Pompey fans will be hoping
they can raise their game for their Wembley
visit. Of course this is all good news for
Fulham.
Betfair currently price Portsmouth as 3.65
shots, the Fulham away win is 2.14 while the
draw is 3.65.
This is the biggest game of Fulham's season,
if not ever, and I think they do have the
right ingredients in the side to keep them
up today. They have the fighting spirit of
Brian McBride up front, and the experience
of Simon Davies, Danny Murphy and Jimmy
Bullard in midfield, which could be a key
factor.

Portsmouth have been very uninspiring
recently, and they clearly have eyes on the
FA Cup final, which I'm sure a gutsy Fulham
side can take advantage of. Roy Hodgeson is
a shrewd and experienced manager who can
guide his team to victory.
