Everton are having a
superb season which has seen them reach
the giddy heights of fifth in the
Premiership, although they will be
worried over their recent form, which
has seen them knocked out of the UEFA
Cup by Fiorentina on penalties and a
surprise 1-0 loss away to Fulham in the
Premiership last Saturday.
I'm sure they
will be happy to get back to Goodison as
they have been playing superbly well
at home recently, with three wins out of their
last four and they will still be hoping
Liverpool slip up and let them in for
the fourth Champions League spot. They
now face a West Ham side who secured
their first win in four last week
against Blackburn.
West
Ham still find themselves in a respectable
tenth place in the Premiership, and they
will be happy to have secured a win last
week over Blackburn after they lost three
games on the bounce by the scoreline of 4-0.
There were stories of a managerial change at
Upton Park, and the appointment of Gianluca
Nani as the new 'technical director' midweek
will have done nothing to quash the rumours.
Away from Upton Park, West Ham are no mugs
having already won six times on the road,
but they do face an Everton team in fine
form.
The bookies have priced the Everton home win @
8/11, the draw is 13/5 while the away win is
4/1.
Bet365 offer a
free £100
bet on this game and at 8/11
Everton have to be the call today. Although
they have slipped up over recent weeks,
those results have mainly been away and
recently the Toffees have secured fine home wins
over Portsmouth 3-1, Reading 1-0 and Man
City 1-0.
Their talismatic midfield player Tim Cahill
should be back for this fixture after
missing last weeks defeat at Fulham, and he
is going to be a huge threat making his late
runs into the box.
West Ham have conceded nine goals in their
last four away trips while Everton have only
conceded one goal in their last four at
Goodison. Those stats definitely tell a
story which is why Everton have got to be
the call today.
